The Month of May has been declared as the Mental Health Awareness Month since 1949.  So, the first post of this month is dedicated in spreading awareness and raising a voice. Depression needs to be recognized and treated.  There are many people who suffer through depression in different stages or even throughout their lives without even realizing it. If you see the following symptoms in your dear ones or yourself, with a help of an adult, reach out to a doctor.   Oversleeping / Lack of sleep  If you don’t feel like getting out of bed in the morning and stay there all day long for days and days or if you are suffering sleepless nights even after being drained out with no energy left, it is one of the sign of depression.  Over eating/ Starving  Eating disorder is also a symptom of depression.
